3G History
In 1989, Jeanne Heckler Lampe became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Graphic Paper Products Corporation, overseeing each of the six divisions and their operations. With Mr. Heckler’s retirement in 1992 and his resignation as President and C.E.O. of Graphic Paper Products in 1995, Ms. Lampe succeeded him in that capacity to continue the family tradition. With the early and continued support of local customers, and with several generations of skilled craftsmen and managers, Charles E. Miller Printers has grown to become 3G Graphic Solutions, from a small press at 102 Zimmerman Block servicing primarily local customers to a diversified corporation providing a full range of printing, packaging and publishing services around the globe. In 2011, 3G Graphic Solutions entered the next phase of its existence with an increased focus on the printing, publishing and design businesses. This increased focus was the result of the divestiture of Rhoades Paper Box and Springfield Packaging.
In the words of Jeanne Heckler Lampe, now President, C.E.O. and owner of 3G Graphic Solutions, “In the late 70’s and early 80’s, my father was ahead of his time when he had the vision to build and consolidate the companies of 3G Graphic Solutions. I was fortunate to work with and learn from him, and I consider him one of the smartest people I have ever known. I am proud to carry on as a third generation businessperson. He was a tremendous mentor, teacher and role model, and if I can be only half as successful as he was, it will be a great accomplishment.”
